Introduction

From January 2025 to April 2025, I worked as a Financial Analyst at Anantaya Financial Services. This role centered on in-depth analytical work involving the evaluation of business models, thorough analysis of financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow, and extracting insights from multi-year financial data. I conducted industry research, studied company fundamentals, and reviewed earnings call transcripts to support investment decisions. In addition, I supported client portfolio activities by maintaining and updating Excel-based tracking sheets, monitoring live price movements, and generating concise performance summaries to help clients understand the progress and positioning of their holdings.

Conducted detailed data analysis on financial statements, including revenue trends, margins, capital allocation, and working capital, using Excel to derive insights into long-term operational efficiency and financial health.

  • Earnings Calls Analysis: Reviewed and synthesized Q3 earnings calls and investor presentations of multiple companies, extracting management insights and aligning them with financial performance to produce client-ready summaries.

  • IPO Research: Evaluated Red Herring Prospectuses (RHPs) to analyze company fundamentals, including business models, industry outlook, competitive positioning, and financial performance. Performed risk analysis, examined use of proceeds, assessed promoter background, and reviewed regulatory disclosures to aid in informed investment decision-making.

  • Sector Research & Thematic Reporting: Conducted macro-level research on themes like data centers (India & US), using industry reports to create actionable insights for internal use and client education.

  • Client Portfolio Support: Maintained and updated client portfolios in Excel with real-time market data, enabling clients to track performance and holdings. Assisted in generating portfolio summaries and tax-relevant equity sell sheets.

  • Event-Based Learning: Attended interactive sessions with highly successful investors and industry experts. Extracted key insights on market outlook, investment strategy, and behavioral finance, and translated them into concise, client-friendly content to enhance investment understanding.

  • Advanced Excel & Visualization: Gained proficiency in advanced Excel functions including dynamic dashboards, pivot tables, lookup functions, conditional formatting, and financial modeling. Also utilized Tableau for data visualizations to support presentations and analytical reporting.

  • Financial Tools & Platforms: Regularly used platforms such as Screener.in, investor presentations, and regulatory filings to extract, filter, and interpret financial data for company and industry evaluation.

  • Research & Communication: Improved ability to interpret complex financial documents (e.g., earnings calls, RHPs) and translate them into clear, actionable insights for internal teams and client discussions.
